Fritz Hansen and Technics Collaborate on 'Sound Club' Exhibition at 3 Days of Design

Fritz Hansen has collaborated with Japanese audio company Technics for this year's '3 Days of Design' event, presenting 'Sound Club', an exhibition that shifts focus from visual objects to the experiential dimension of sound in design. This unique collaboration explores how music, illumination, and furnishings collectively shape the ambiance of a setting, inviting attendees to engage with design through a multisensory experience that prioritizes listening.

The exhibition also commemorates the 90th anniversary of Christian Dell's iconic Kaiser Idell lamp, a Bauhaus-era design that serves as a central element in this partnership with Technics. A limited-edition Kaiser Idell table lamp and a Technics turntable, both finished in a distinctive deep burgundy hue that reflects Fritz Hansen's evolving brand identity, form the core of various auditory environments located within the Danish brand's Copenhagen flagship store, its courtyard, and a dedicated installation area.

The 'Sound Club' installation offers diverse ways for visitors to interact with sound, aiming to create a more profound engagement with design. Guests can relax in a lounge while listening to Fritz Hansen's new podcast series, experience a curated listening bar with noise-canceling headphones and an exclusive vinyl recording made for the event, or enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of a courtyard featuring live DJ performances. This approach is designed to encourage a slower, more contemplative interaction with the exhibition, allowing individuals to customize their journey and discover moments of calm amidst the bustling festival environment.
