However, signs of an impending resolution emerged approximately two months prior when J. Cole made an appearance on Cam'ron's "Talk With Flee" podcast. During their conversation, Cam'ron explained his decision to pursue legal action, attributing it to J. Cole's repeated unavailability for his show. J. Cole expressed his disappointment with the lawsuit, yet Cam'ron revealed that the legal action was primarily intended to capture J. Cole's attention rather than proceed to a full trial.

The Demands: Co-Authorship and Royalties

In his lawsuit, Cam'ron, whose legal name is Cameron Giles, sought judicial recognition as a co-author of the sound recording. He also requested an order for J. Cole and Universal Music Group to conduct an audit of the royalties generated by "Ready '24," ensuring he received his rightful share.
