Charli XCX has unveiled an expanded version of her album, 'Music, Fashion, Film (B-Sides Edition),' now available digitally on iTunes. This special release, which became accessible on Sunday, features three additional tracks that were previously exclusive to limited-edition physical releases.
These three songs, titled 'I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night,' 'Playboy Bunny,' and 'If You Take the Music Then What Has She Got?', were first introduced to fans through Charli's alternative Instagram account, @b.sides. They were included as B-sides on 7-inch singles for 'Rock Music,' 'SS26,' and 'Camera,' and also formed part of the comprehensive 'Music, Fashion, Film' physical box set. The artist initially expressed no intention of making these tracks available on digital platforms, aiming to preserve the unique ethos of the B-sides.
Despite her initial stance, Charli XCX explained her decision to release them digitally on Instagram: "I created B-sides for each song released before 'Music, Fashion, Film' because it felt natural to pair them with a complementary piece—something related to the album but not fully integrated into it." She acknowledged that B-sides often become fan favorites, and in this case, her fans' persistent requests ultimately led to her making them available on iTunes, playfully labeling herself a 'hypocrite' while expressing her affection for her audience and hoping they enjoy the new additions.
