From a colossal Alvar Aalto vase to a textile and ceramic exhibition in a converted hair salon, the city brimmed with innovative displays. Zofia Chylak, a Polish artist, designer, and founder of her modern accessories brand, distinguished herself with an impressive lace installation at the Baum und Pferdgarten store. The lace installation serves as a graceful and lively portal into the interior of Baum und Pferdgarten. It masterfully reinterprets traditional bobbin lace techniques with a contemporary perspective. Chylak drew inspiration from her visits to Copenhagen's Thorvaldsens Museum, where she encountered a plaster model of Poland's royal Prince Józef Poniatowski on horseback. The original Danish-designed sculpture now stands proudly in Warsaw's Presidential Palace, symbolizing the enduring political and cultural ties between Denmark and Poland. This sculpture was a gift from the Danish government to Poland in 1951, following the Warsaw Uprising, further cementing its significance.

The installation also connects to Chylak's recent collection of handcrafted jewelry, bags, and accessories. Titled 'Chylak Heritage,' this line celebrates traditional Polish crafts, including amber beading and Wilanów-style embroidery. A prominent feature of this collection is the Bobowa Lace Collection, which draws inspiration from the rich heritage of bobbin-lacemaking rooted in Bobowa, Poland.
