Emily A. Sprague Unveils New Album 'Cyano' and "Sing To" Music Video

Emily A. Sprague, a distinguished artist also recognized for her contributions to the band Florist, has revealed details of her forthcoming album titled Cyano. This new collection of music, scheduled for release on October 2 under the Rvng Intl. label, will feature 14 compositions. Among these is the track “Double Moon,” which was previously made public, alongside a baker's dozen of fresh recordings.
Accompanying this announcement, Sprague has also launched a new single from the album, “Sing To,” complemented by a visually engaging music video. The cinematic piece, crafted by her partner V Haddad, seamlessly interweaves stunning footage from their expedition to Iceland with intimate glimpses of their residence in Upstate New York. This dual imagery provides a fitting visual narrative for Sprague’s otherworldly vocal delivery and the expansive, drifting textures of her synthesizers. While this album represents Sprague’s latest full-length effort under her own name, it is particularly notable as her inaugural release featuring her on lead vocals, following Florist’s Jellywish from the previous year. Although there are no immediate tour plans for Cyano, fans can anticipate a joint performance with Grouper at New York City’s Town Hall on September 15.
Emily A. Sprague’s new album, Cyano, showcases a rich tapestry of soundscapes and introspective lyrics, inviting listeners into a world of sonic exploration and emotional depth. Her artistic journey continues to evolve, demonstrating a commitment to authentic expression and innovative musical craftsmanship. This release not only solidifies her solo presence but also enriches the contemporary music scene with its unique blend of ethereal beauty and heartfelt artistry, inspiring both reflection and discovery.
