Chengdu Qiongjie Yingchuang Culture and Entertainment, a leader in immersive imaging technology based in China, recently embarked on an ambitious project. Their team journeyed to the Gobi Desert to film a significant rocket launch, employing Blackmagic Design's highly advanced Ursa Cine Immersive camera. This state-of-the-art device is engineered to capture video at a resolution exceeding 8K through its dual lenses, providing a distinct visual experience tailored for devices like the Apple Vision Pro headset.

Under the direction of Tang Yisu, Gan Yujie, and Lu Linxuan, the filmmaking crew successfully documented the launch of LandSpace's reusable Zhuque-3 rocket from China's Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. This event signifies a major milestone for China's commercial space ambitions. Tang Yisu shared with Blackmagic Design that their company frequently employs the Ursa Cine for diverse immersive content, spanning from music videos and documentaries to large-scale commercial experiences.

The resulting production, titled "Land Your Dream in Space: Zhuque-3 Launch Vehicle Flight Test Mission," is celebrated as the inaugural Apple Immersive Video dedicated to a rocket launch. Although the launch itself occurred late last year, the comprehensive video chronicle of the mission was meticulously edited using DaVinci Resolve Studio and subsequently optimized for direct viewing on the Apple Vision Pro. Yisu emphasized that conventional video formats could not adequately convey the visceral experience of being present at the launch site, making immersive video an indispensable tool for both the public and LandSpace's engineers.
