Oasis Unveils First Look at Reunion Documentary 'Don't Look Back in Anger'

On the first anniversary of their highly anticipated comeback performance, the band Oasis has released the debut teaser for their documentary, titled 'Don't Look Back in Anger.' This film chronicles the unlikely reconciliation of the Gallagher brothers after their contentious separation, offering fans a glimpse into their journey back to the stage.

The 45-second preview showcases vibrant concert footage and offers hints of rehearsal sessions. In voiceovers, Noel Gallagher expresses his initial reluctance, stating, 'I just don’t see myself onstage with Liam,' while Liam Gallagher reflects on their past, adding, 'The way it finished, unacceptable.' A synopsis for the film describes it as an 'unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025,' capturing the band's and their fans' experiences and emotions worldwide. The documentary provides an exclusive perspective, including access to rehearsals, backstage moments, and on-stage performances, alongside the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over two decades. It also delves into the profound emotional impact of this global cultural phenomenon and the enduring significance of their music across generations.

Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, and conceptualized by Steven Knight of 'Peaky Blinders' fame, 'Don't Look Back in Anger' is set to premiere in IMAX and other cinemas this September, with a subsequent release on Hulu and Disney+ later in the year. Knight emphasized the documentary’s role in uniting different generations and cultures, stating, 'Don’t Look Back In Anger is not only your ticket to the show – it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.' The band's reunion tour commenced on July 4, 2025, in Cardiff, Wales, and spanned across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and South America, concluding in Sao Paulo, Brazil, shortly after their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Future plans for the band remain undisclosed.

The enduring power of music to bridge divides and inspire reconciliation is beautifully illustrated by Oasis's journey. Their story demonstrates that even after years of separation and unresolved conflict, shared passion and the unwavering support of their audience can bring people together, creating new memories and reaffirming the timeless appeal of their artistry. This documentary serves as a testament to the idea that even the most fractured relationships can find a path to healing and renewed purpose.
