Daltrey's Perspective on Solo Touring

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Daltrey shared his thoughts on this extensive solo run. He expressed that after nearly two decades of solo touring with various musicians, the idea of a less demanding schedule holds a certain appeal. This tour provides him with an opportunity to explore the United States and connect with fans, while continuously experimenting with different musical arrangements for his songs, moving away from pre-recorded backing tracks.

Tickets for the "A Great Night Out" tour will be available to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster. A Diverse Musical Journey: Repertoire and Selections

The tour's setlist promises a rich tapestry of Daltrey's musical career, encompassing selections from his solo albums, a collection of cover songs, and deep cuts from The Who's extensive discography. Fans can anticipate renditions of Who classics such as "Baba O’Riley" and "Who Are You," alongside lesser-known gems like "Love Ain’t for Keeping" and "Another Tricky Day."

The Talented Ensemble: Daltrey's Backing Band

Many familiar faces from The Who's touring ensemble will join Daltrey on his solo expedition. The band features guitarist Simon Townshend, bassist John Hogg, and drummer Scott Devours, all of whom contributed to The Who's final tour. Percussionist Jody Linscott also returns, alongside new additions Doug Boyle on guitar, Billy Nicholls on mandolin, Katie Jacoby on violin, Steve Weston on harmonica, and Geraint Watkins on keyboards and accordion. This lineup mirrors the one from his 2024 Semi-Acoustic Tour, ensuring a cohesive and powerful performance.

This upcoming tour marks Daltrey's first visit to the U.S. since he was knighted as Sir Roger Daltrey in December.
