The Rolling Stones Announce Upcoming Tour and New Album 'Foreign Tongues'

Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones recently confirmed exciting news for fans, indicating the band's intention to embark on another tour in the near future. This announcement came during a BBC Radio 2 interview where Jagger expressed his eagerness to perform live again, while clarifying that the tour would not commence this year but as soon as logistics permit. The band's last major tour in 2024 supported their critically acclaimed 2023 album, "Hackney Diamonds," showcasing their enduring energy with 20 concerts across North America and extensive rehearsals covering over 60 songs.

Adding to the anticipation, The Rolling Stones are preparing to launch their new album, "Foreign Tongues," on July 10. The album, crafted at West London's Metropolis Studios under the guidance of producer Andrew Watt, who also produced "Hackney Diamonds," promises fresh material. It will feature the core members—Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood—alongside returning musicians Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford, and Steve Jordan. A poignant inclusion will be the posthumous appearance of the late Charlie Watts, utilizing recordings from one of his final sessions before his passing in 2021. The album also boasts a star-studded lineup of guest artists, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Jagger shared an amusing anecdote about how the collaboration with Robert Smith came about spontaneously at an industry event, highlighting the organic nature of their creative process.

This renewed activity from The Rolling Stones demonstrates their unwavering passion for music and performing, continuously evolving while honoring their rich legacy. Their commitment to creating new works and engaging with audiences globally is a testament to their legendary status in rock and roll history. The band's ability to attract diverse guest artists and blend their iconic sound with new influences ensures their relevance and continues to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike.
